    What you'll learn:

    This workshop is designed to provide insights into the bad habits developed by destructive HR leaders and how to avoid developing these habits. During this workshop, you will learn how to identify the common traits and habits of destructive HR leaders, how to recognize these habits when confronted with them, and how to spot positive traits of effective HR leaders and teams. The goal for this workshop is to help you become a business leader capable of driving results through effective behaviors.

    About the speaker:  

    Originally from the southwest suburbs of Chicago, Amanda Dokter has spent the last 12 years working in human resources in both for-profit and not-for-profit industries.  She has a bachelor’s degree from Dordt College in Sioux Center, IA in Business Administration: Human Resources and holds both a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certifications.  She also is an active member of the local Black Hills Society for Human Resource Management (BHSHRM).  Amanda joined Ketel Thorstenson in March 2014 and oversees the human resources functions for the firm.  She enjoys promoting the firm’s FISH Philosophy’s four simple principles; make their day, be present, play, and choose your attitude.

    When not working Amanda enjoys spending time hiking, camping, traveling and volunteering with Feeding South Dakota and at General Beadle Elementary School.
