Title: Leading the Way with Human Resources Lean Continuous Improvement Leadership

Objectives: By the end of this training learners will be able to interpret foundational attributes for continuous improvement leadership

    Learners will:

    •       Listen to characteristics and qualities of a continuous improvement leader

    •       Identify the need to foster a continuous improvement culture

    •       Discuss barriers to transitioning a team into continuous improvement thinking

    •       Summarize benefits of leading a continuous improvement workforce

Description: Do you ever feel like your day is spent firefighting in the workplace? Do you have team members struggle with critical thinking and problem solving? Don't feel bad because numerous studies show this is normal, however, it doesn't have to be. This training will review how workforces have encountered natural wastes that cause overburden for employees and hinders the opportunity for creativity, continuous improvement of work and engagement. Learners will discuss traits they can use to help transition employees and coach them to identify wastes, think in a problem solving mindset and reap the benefits of a continuous improvement workforce. The training will also show leaders how they can create a workforce of problems solvers that will increase engagement and decrease and eliminate fire fighting.
